How does an engagement begin?
Every engagement starts with a conversation.
We typically spend 60–90 minutes with the CEO, leadership team or investor understanding the business, its ambitions and the defining challenge or opportunity. From there, we recommend where Value Squared can add the greatest value and the right scope of work.
When should you bring Value Squared in?
Usually at a moment when the business needs to change faster than business as usual allows.
That might be ahead of significant growth, investment or exit; following an acquisition; during transformation; when performance has stalled; or when leadership or investors need greater clarity about what is really happening inside the business.
We also work proactively, helping strong businesses identify and build the next sources of value before change becomes necessary.
How quickly can you start?
We deliberately work with a limited number of businesses at any one time, ensuring senior attention throughout every engagement.
Most work is planned several weeks ahead. Where timing is critical, particularly around transactions, leadership change or significant business events, we will always explore whether we can mobilise more quickly.
Do you work with existing advisers and management teams?
Yes. Value Squared is designed to strengthen, not duplicate, existing capability.
We regularly work alongside CEOs, Boards, investment teams and specialist advisers, bringing an independent perspective across the whole business and helping connect different workstreams around a common value creation ambition.
Do you work internationally?
Yes. We work with businesses, investors and leadership teams internationally, combining in-person work with virtual collaboration where appropriate. For diagnostics, workshops and critical leadership sessions, we will often work on-site.
